Libya is a North African country, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, Egypt, Sudan, Chad, Niger, Algeria and Tunisia. Libya is known to be politically unstable, particularly after the deposition of its 42-year leader, Colonel Gaddafi. Libya has vast resources of oil, making it Libya’s main source of revenue. Added to this, Libya exports petroleum and natural gas.
