Ian Taylor

Ian joined Vallis in April 2022 as an Internal Auditor for the West Africa region, covering all English and French speaking countries from Cameroon to Senegal.

After more than 25 years working in a variety of positions within the UK Automotive Industry Ian decided to follow a long-held ambition of working outside the UK. He secured a position with a UAE based company carrying out contracts in various post conflict and developing countries, Ian then spent 10 years working in numerous positions in Afghanistan from 2011 to 2021, including a four-year spell travelling to remote sites throughout Afghanistan carrying out process audits as a Compliance Manager.

After 10 years away from home Ian decided to return to the UK and enjoy retirement, however within a few months he was already missing the day-to-day interaction with colleagues and overcoming challenges, in his own words “I needed a new challenge” with the support of his family Ian opted to return to the labour market and seek a new challenge abroad.

Ian has three grown up sons and lives near Edinburgh with his wife and two dogs, his hobbies include playing tennis, reading, and foreign travel.
