The Republic of Lithuania is the southernmost of the Baltic states, and boasts the largest economy of the three. The city of Klaipeda, and the port of the same name, sit upon the Baltic Sea.
In 2022, Klaipeda Port passed the threshold of 1 million TEU per year, recording an annual growth rate of 57 percent. By land, Lithuania has an extensive rail freight system; about 50 million tons of cargo are transported by rail each year, with direct links to Russia, Belarus, Latvia, Poland, and Germany.
The main export industries in Lithuania are agriculture (particularly wheat, sugar beet, barley, and rapeseed) and manufacturing. Vallis is operational in Lithuania as of 2023.
