Egypt is located at the northeast corner of Africa, connecting the continent to the Middle East. It is the most populous country in North Africa and has the third largest economy in the continent by GDP. Vallis started operations in Egypt in April 2014 and has managed over 7.2 million tonnes of commodities. The principal commodities managed are grains such as Wheat and Maize as well as Soybeans and edible oils. These operations have taken place at various ports in Alexandria, Damietta, Port Said, Abu Qir, Adabiya and Sokhna. Vallis has also recently started handling Coal in the country.
