Formal presentations:
- Ed Parker, CEO of Walking With The Wounded spoke of how the charity helps veterans integrate back into society.
- Philip Soutter provided an insight into the global marine industry.
- Chris Scott from AON gave warning on the growing threat of cyber-crime.
- Eleanor Smith from JLT Specialty spoke of Africa’s emerging economies and their place in globalization.
- Julian Price gave an informative talk on the processing of sugar and its subsequent trading.

On a lighter note, Vallis staff learnt the fundamentals of sign language through a series of hands-on lessons with Bristol-based, ICanSign.
The week was a resounding success and planning for Africa and Middle East Week 2019 will begin shortly.
