Vallis sent two teams to this year’s Cumbrian Challenge for Walking with the Wounded: the ‘VGL – Just got Tougher’ and ‘Vallis Ladies: The Young and the Breathless’.
The event presents an opportunity to raise awareness for veterans struggling to integrate back into society.
The men’s team fell just short of Andrew Barr-Sim and his fellow ‘Lowlanders’ with a time of 09:41:48 on the ‘Tougher’ route. A valiant effort all the same, finishing in the top-third against fierce opposition.

The Vallis ladies took on the ‘Tough’ route and pushed hard to cross the finish line in 09:58:20.
The combined efforts of all Vallis entrants raised over £3000 for Walking with the Wounded. This will help support more veterans back into independence following their service in the Armed Forces.
