On 2nd and 3rd of May, I attended the Intra-African Trade Finance and Payment Systems Conference in Abidjan, organized by the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank). I was joined at the conference by Denis Chabassier, local Vallis Country Manager, and Marmaduke Hatfield from our UK office.
The aim of the conference was to discuss the current limitations and barriers surrounding intra-African trade and to outline Afreximbank’s agenda for promoting growth in this area.
Vallis’s Marmaduke Hatfield compiled a report on the conference, which is available here:
Inter-African Trade Finance Conference Report
One conclusion from the conference was that there are clearly very exciting opportunities in the Ivory Coast. We have seen evidence of that at Vallis, with the Ivory Coast now our largest country by number of operations. After visiting, I am proud to say that our team there are one of the most impressive and efficient I have seen.
Our ongoing expansion in Abidjan means we are now able to offer our Marine and Cargo Services in the region, including real-time reporting of vessel discharges.
If you would like further information on this or any other Vallis services, please get in touch.
