Operations from Neighbouring Country
Since independence from France in 1960, Chad – a landlocked country in central Africa has been plagued by instability from internal rivalries between ethnic groups, conflicts in neighbouring countries, and the impact of climate change through desertification and the drying up of Lake Chad.
In March 2018, Vallis Trade Assurance Services (VTAS) conducted its first inspection in N’Djamena, Chad. VTAS was nominated as Independent Surveyors for the inspection of 61 4×4 vehicles. The vehicles were delivered to the African Union Multinational Joint Taskforce to support their mission across the region. The VTAS team successfully confirmed that each vehicle was equipped with the expected features and technical specifications.
