Tanzania is located on the mainland in East Africa but also contains a number of offshore islands, the largest of which is Zanzibar. Vallis has managed 1.5 million tonnes of commodities in Tanzania. 1.3 million tonnes of this has been fuel, with other commodities managed including fertilizer, maize and various pulses. Most of Vallis’s work in Tanzania has been in the port of Dar es Salaam, which handles 95% of Tanzania’s international trade.
