I am pleased to announce that VTAS has now completed its first Ammonium Nitrate (AN) discharge in Walvis Bay, Namibia.
This is the first AN discharge in Walvis Bay in 6 years, after a ban was put in place by the Namibian Explosives Team and NAMPORT (Namibian Port Authority).
VTAS conducted discharge supervision services and live reporting on the vessel discharge. The VTAS live reporting interface provides details of the discharge in real-time, including the cargo discharge from the vessel and receipt into the warehouse, damages and stoppages. In addition to reporting, VTAS oversaw the inspection, loading and departure of trucks from the quayside and their unloading at the warehouse.
A photographic report detailing this process is at this link.
Please get in touch if you would like more information on this or any of the services that VTAS provides…
