Since Vallis began operations in 2006 we have managed 2.7 million tonnes of rice in 16 different countries across Africa. This makes rice the commodity we handle most, accounting for approximately 19% of the total goods we manage.
The increase in consumption and import of rice to Africa shows no signs of slowing down. Vallis recently compiled a research report into rice, focussing on its importance as a commodity in Africa. The report is available at this link:
