Trudi joined Vallis Group in August 2025 as Commercial Manager focussing on East and Southern Africa. Trudi was born in Zambia, raised in Eswatini and lived in Liberia and Nigeria with her father spending 26 years in Ethiopia. She has also worked in Zimbabwe, South Sudan, Namibia, Guyana and Saudi Arabia.
After a degree in Management Sciences at Manchester University Trudi served as an Army Officer, then as a project manager in the defence industry before running 19 pubs for Whitbread. Being responsible for a budget of £3.8 million at the age of 26 in that industry was the best business education possible!
After having her 3 children she became a management consultant and trainer in business, leadership and strategic risk management. She has authored text books on Occupational Health and Safety, designed and delivered diploma programmes and enjoys writing blogs for clients.
Trudi lives in the north of England near the Lake District and a few minutes from the sea, where she can be found canoeing and camping all year round. She keeps fit with Muay Thai kickboxing and running (well, jogging), loves the ballet and knits ferociously complicated jumpers to relax.
