We have been operational in Guinea-Bissau for just over a year on a seasonal basis. However, at the beginning of 2019, the decision was taken to establish a permanent base in the country with the setting up of a new office in the capital: Bissau.
In early July 2019, His Excellency, George Hodgson, the British Ambassador to Senegal and Guinea-Bissau visited the new Vallis office. He had the opportunity to meet staff and was briefed on Vallis operations. During his visit, he commented that Vallis is the first British company to establish an office in Bissau.
A more proactive approach has coincided with an increase in Vallis operations. From supervising just two warehouses, Vallis now operates in 20 different warehouses around Bissau and has a workforce of 33 staff.
The appointment of a new Country Manager, Steve Noble, will stimulate future growth in this region.
