Sugar

Sugar has been produced for centuries and can be found in forms such as sugar cane, sugar beet, honey, syrup and more. 70-80% of all sugar produced globally (172 million tonnes in 2015) is consumed in the country of origin.

Since 2006, over 2.1 million tonnes of sugar has been handled by Vallis. 900,000 tonnes of this has been in Ghana and more than 600,000 tonnes has passed through Vallis management in Bahrain since 2013.  Vallis operations managing sugar have also taken place in Ivory Coast, Senegal, Togo and 10 further countries.
