A cluster of East African countries are among the largest exporters of tobacco globally. Malawi, the largest producer of burley tobacco in the world, is Africa’s largest tobacco exporter while Zimbabwe historically attracts higher prices for their tobacco due to their reputation, along with the USA, for growing the highest quality in the world.
